The Sean Edwards Foundation and Peace and Sport worked together for the first time at the Formula One Grand Prix in Monaco with the Sean Edwards Foundation Memorial Bike Ride. A host of Professional Drivers from past and present along with Olympian Athletes from all over the globe took part in the Bike Ride, organized around the F1 circuit on Tuesday 24th May.

We hope to send a message that promotes Peace through Sport via Motorsport in Monaco that was Sean’s home and where the memorial bike ride was started by the drivers in his memory. All the participants will be wearing a common suit, with SEF and Peace and Sport colours. An autographed suit will be offered to H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Some of the sportsmen who were present are Daniel Ricciardo, Jenson Button, Nico Hulkenburg, Paul di Resta, Brendon Hartley, Maro Engel, Eddie Jordan, Alex Wurz, Lucas Di Grassi, Francesco Castalacci, Ryan Harper-Ellam, Ray Bellm, Ian Khan, Eugene Laverty, Calvin Watson, Martin Poole, Carlo Boutagy, Gustav Larsson, Russell Carty, Patrick Churchill, Simon Gook, Miquel Pellerini, Chris Beckerman, Harvey Johnson, Nigel Easton, Roberto Pestis, Mario Calisti, Jack Ravanelli, Juan Carlos Dominguez, Marc Raquil and Princess Charlene’s brother Gareth Wittstock.

A collective Whitecard picture was taken at the start of the ride, as symbol of peace through sport.

This event was also the opportunity to announce the partnership between both organisations. Peace and Sport and the Sean Edwards Foundation are joining forces with several incentives. Bringing new hope to underprivileged children, giving them physical, mental wellbeing and social. A gala event to fundraise field program will be held during the Grand Prix 2017.
