As part of the partnership between Peace and Sport and MyCoach, the Kick-Off Production teams traveled to Zaatari, Jordan, to make the documentary “Captain Ali”. The movie traces the journey of Ali Naser Husein, a former Syrian civil engineering student who became head of the coaches administration for the ‘Live Together’ program in Zaatari refugee camp.

The ‘Live Together’ program was cited as an example of an initiative promoting peace and sustainable development in the latest report of the United Nations Secretary-General on the contribution of sport to the 2030 Agenda. It was implemented in partnership with UNHCR, Blumont, WAKO, ITTF, FITEQ, the Jordanian National Olympic Committee and the Government of Monaco.

The documentary “Captain Ali” was broadcasted on December 25 on Infosport + and is now available in replay on myCanal during 3 months : http://www.canalplus.com/sport/captain-ali-night-session/h/15457872_50001

On this occasion, Joël Bouzou, President-Founder of Peace and Sport, declared:

“MyCoach is the digital expert partner with whom we have developed many solidarity initiatives and co-created the “Peace and Sport x MyCoach” mobile application, as part of their CSR program. As such, the co-production of the documentary “Captain Ali” perfectly illustrates the importance of creating bridges between the business world and international organizations like ours. It is a great pride for us that this documentary, which highlights the potential of sport as a vehicle for peace, has been broadcasted and is accessible to the general public “.

Cédric Messina, CEO of MyCoach, mentioned:

“We are extremely proud to have produced this wonderful film with Peace and Sport. The documentary produced by Kick-Off Production immersed in Zaatari refugee camp offers us an incredible and memorable experience.
