Sport took me out of silence and trauma, it allows me to go beyond my suffering, to discuss and to share about life experience. Being a Champion for Peace is an opportunity to meet with the youth and to share a message of peace.
Biography / Awards
A survivor of the massacres that took place in Burundi in the 1990s, with one leg amputated at the age of three, he sees sport as a therapy. One of the figureheads of the 2017 Friendship Games, he visited his home country once again to present the medal that he won in the World ParaAthletics Championships in London to children participating in the Games.
