Biography / Awards
Laurence Fischer is a French Karateka who mastered her sport at all levels, becoming an icon of Karate. Her sporting career has not prevented her from pursuing her studies and getting involved in social causes that are dear to her.
Indeed, Laurence Fischer is a committed woman : she participated in numerous humanitarian missions with the women’s Karate team. She also collaborated with the Panzi Foundation to offer regular karate sessions in Congo for women victims of war rapes. Convinced by the social role of sport, particularly in building self-esteem and confidence, Laurence Fischer wanted to expand this project. In 2017, she launched the “Fight for dignity” structure in order to continue to help women victims of violence in Congo through karate but she duplicated the model in France. Since March 2018, “Fight for dignity” has been located in the women’s house in Saint-Denis.
